Mary Elizabeth Hallford

Mary Elizabeth Hallford, age 80, died Wednesday, January 27, 2021, at her home in Victoria, Kansas.  She was born October 21, 1940, in Salina, Kansas to Andrew P. and Ida Mae (McCall) Brown.

She was a manager at the Village Inn restaurant in Hays, and a homemaker.  She grew up in Emporia, Kansas, a graduate of Emporia High School, and moved to Victoria in 2008.  She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology at Missouri Western State University.  She was a member of the Fort Hays Senior Companion Program, a hard worker and a very generous person. 

Survivors include her three daughters, Laura Prater and Pilar Clark, both of Victoria, KS; Kathy Lee and husband Scott, Topeka, KS; one brother, Andrew Brown and wife, Patricia, Baltimore, MD; three grandchildren, Adam Clark and wife, Genevieve; Isabella Lee and Elizabeth Lee.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A private family inurnment will be at the Alton Cemetery in Alton, Kansas, at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial to the family in care of the mortuary.

Services are entrusted to Cline’s-Keithley Mortuary of Hays, 1919 East  22nd Street, Hays, Kansas 67601.
