KANSAS CITY, Mo. - MIAA Basketball Media Day for the upcoming 2025-26 season takes place on Monday (Oct. 6) at The College Basketball Experience in downtown Kansas City, presented by Seigfreid Bingham. The event will stream live on The MIAA Network for FREE. The event starts at 9:00 a.m. and lasts until about 2:00 p.m.
The invite-only event features press conferences with head coaches from all 14 conference schools along with MIAA Commissioner Mike Racy's press conference beginning the day at 9:00 a.m., which will include the announcement of the Preseason Coaches and Media Polls. Following the Commissioner's remarks, media emcee host Brenda VanLengen will welcome the first men's and women's head coaches to the stage.
Fort Hays State takes the podium at 12:15 p.m. At that time, head coaches Mark Johnson and Talia Kahrs will take questions from the media.
The MIAA Network can be viewed on desktop, mobile devices, and Internet-connected television devices anywhere in the world. Individuals can use The MIAA Network website or The MIAA Network apps for Amazon Fire TV, Android TV, Apple TV, and Roku to view media day.
Fans can participate in media day can tweet a question for their favorite coach using the hashtag #AskMIAA.
