Helen Marie Theleman, 94, went home to Jesus on December 11, 2021. Helen was born to Mannie and Nellie (Sipp) Miller on April 15, 1927, at Lovewell, KS.

Helen met Ed Sr. at the café where she worked after graduating High School. He made her so happy and they married November 2, 1946, and went on to have children, Jill Arnell (Theleman) Loyd and Edward Ross Theleman Jr.

In addition to being a dedicated and loving mother, Helen was always helping others, loving her pets, and loving the children she babysat for. She had a sweet, infectious smile. As the strong independent woman that she was, she never wanted anyone to worry about her.

Helen read through most to all of the Bible almost every year for many years. She worshiped her Lord and Savior every chance she could. Even if it required walking with a cane or walker down an uneven sidewalk in the snow.

She was always lifting friends, family and neighbors up in prayer. Helen was an amazing encourager sending cards almost everyday to so many people. She was a loved woman who has touched so many lives.

Helen knew how to celebrate Christmas! Great decorations and delicious homemade fudge welcomed family home every December. She’d bake a birthday cake for Jesus, when the grandchildren were young, and all would sing, “Happy Birthday, Jesus.” This year she will have a mighty choir joining her.

In addition to being a faithful, endearing wife, she was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, Aunt and Great-Aunt to so many nieces and nephews, neighbor, friend and a very devoted member of the First Christian Church and a beloved member of the Downs Community.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Ed (1989); daughter Jill Loyd (2002); brothers, Elmer Miller, Calvin Mallory, Kenny Mallory, and Donnie Mallory, and sister, Donna Thompson.

Helen is survived by her son Eddie Theleman of Desoto, KS; brother, Richard Mallory of New Plymouth, Idaho; sister, Dorothy Hake of Big Rock, Illinois; 6 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
