The Kansas Basketball Coaches Association (KBCA) released its All-State teams on Monday and a pair of juniors from Hays were named to their respective all-state team’s classifications.
Hays High’s Molly Martin was an honorable mention selection to the 5A KBCA All-State team.
In her junior campaign Martin averaged 12.2 points per game, helping the Indians claim the Western Athletic Conference title at a perfect 8-0 in league play. The Indians finished 16-6, losing in the 5A sub-state championship game.
TMP’s Brooke Koenigsman also earned KBCA honors. She was named to the 2A honorable mention team.
Koenigsman averaged a team-high 16.1 points and 6.1 rebounds per game this past season.
Hoxie also had two players named to the KBCA 2A All-State team.
Josey Kennedy was a first team selection and Emily Bainter was named to the third team.
Smith Center’s Dakota Kattenburg was a second team selectin in class 2A.
Osborne’s Gracie Riner was named to the second team and Quinter’s Brynn Gillespie was an honorable mention pick in class 1A-D1.
