In the former middle school, which is being remodeled into Felten Elementary School, work is being done on the sanitary sewer.

The remaining asbestos has been removed from the flooring. Asbestos was found in the mastic that was used to glue flooring in multiple areas of the building.

Demolition has continued in the building, old wiring has been removed and ceiling grids have been installed.

Both schools are scheduled to open to students in August.

Wilson Elementary School will close as an elementary school at the end of this school year. Wilson's students will move into Felten, which will be a four-section school.

Wilson is set to be renovated for use as an administrative center, and Rockwell is set to be closed and possibly sold.
