With a 6-2 start to the season the TMP-Marian Monarchs baseball team broke into the top-10 of the 2-1A Kansas Association of Baseball Coaches rankings this week.
TMP is ranked 10th this week.
The Monarchs opened the season with a split doubleheader with Larned and then earned back-to-back doubleheader sweeps of Colby and Holcomb before splitting two games with Ellinwood last week.
TMP joins Sacred Heart in the 2-1A rankings this week. The Knights moved up one spot to number two with a 6-0 record. TMP and Sacred Heart are both in the 2-1A Hays-TMP regional.
In class 5A the Hays High Indians are ranked No. 8 this week thanks to a 7-1 start.
Last week the Indians swept Garden City and split two games with Washburn Rural. They opened the season with seven straight wins before that.
