THOMAS COUNTY —One person was injured in an accident just after 10p.m. Sunday in Thomas County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2024 Subaru Ascent driven by Ashley C. Nightingale, 28, Brentwood, California, was westbound on Interstate 70 seven miles west of U.S. 83. The driver observed a large animal in the roadway and swerved causing the car to over-correct and strike a guardrail on the east side of the Interstate.
EMS transported Nightingale to Citizens Medical Center. She was properly restrained, according to the KHP.
