Former NW Kan. state rep appointed to governor’s tax reform council

TOPEKA – Governor Laura Kelly Tuesday announced appointments to Kansas state boards and commissions, including former 118th District  state representative Don Hineman, Dighton, as well as residents from Russell and Oakley. 

Advisory Commission for Children with Special Healthcare Needs

The Commission is tasked with consulting and advising the secretary of the Kansas Department of Health and Environment on matters relating to children with special health care needs.

Kansas Animal Health Board

The Kansas Animal Health Board acts as an advisory board to the Kansas Livestock Commission.

Governor’s Council on Tax Reform

The purpose of the Council is provide the governor and the legislature perspective and counsel of a diverse group of experts and stakeholders with regard to tax policy for the State of Kansas.

State Board of Veterinary Examiners

The mission of the State Board of Veterinary Examiners is to promote animal health, safety, and welfare by examining and licensing applicants for veterinary medicine. They also inspect and register licensed veterinarians.
