SCOTT COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident just after 5:30p.m. Tuesday in Scott County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 1999 GMC Suburban driven by Scofield, Wayne W. Scofield, 74, Leoti, was westbound on Kansas 96 at Modoc Lane.
The SUV rear-ended a 2017 Chevy Silverado driven by Tina M. Turley, 64, Modoc, who turning north onto Modoc Lane.
After impact the SUV exited the roadway to the north and came to rest on private property.
EMS transported Scofield to Scott County Hospital. Turley was not injured. Scofield was not wearing a seat belt, according to the KHP.
