The Hays USD 489 school board will consider several capital purchases at its meeting at 6:30 tonight at the Rockwell Administration Building.
The board will consider purchasing a school bus for $234,604 from Kansas Truck.
It will consider a bid from Sunflower Restaurant Supply for steamers at Hays Middle School in the amount of $20,700.
A change order for $26,199 from ISI Industrial Services for asbestos removal at Felten Elementary School is being requested.
The board will reconsider a HVAC preventive maintenance service agreement with Glassman Corp to add equipment at O'Loughlin, Roosevelt and Hays Middle School for $66,520 annually. The equipment at the schools was previously under warranty.
The board will also consider contract extension for district administrators, hear a report on the district crisis plan, hear a construction update on O'Loughlin Elementary School and hear a presentation on Hays 2025 economic activity from Doug Williams, executive director of Grow Hays.
