🏀 FHSU women receiving votes in WBCA rankings

LILBURN, Ga. - The Fort Hays State women's basketball team is receiving votes in the first regular season release of the 2023-24 WBCA Division II Coaches Poll, distributed Tuesday  by the coaches association. It is the Tigers' first appearance in the poll this season.

Fort Hays State received 42 points in the poll, 31st-most overall and sixth in the others receiving votes category. The Tigers are one of four MIAA schools mentioned in the poll, with Central Missouri slotted fifth, Missouri Western ranked 12th and Missouri Southern also receiving votes.

The Tigers are 4-0 to start the season, including two wins over teams that are also listed in the receiving votes section in Minnesota State and Colorado Mesa.

Three other teams from the Central Region are mentioned in the poll, including No. 25 Minnesota Duluth and two receiving votes - Minnesota State, Southern Nazarene and Harding.

Fort Hays State will make its home debut Saturday evening (Nov. 25) when the Tigers host Tabor College beginning at 5 p.m. inside Gross Memorial Coliseum.
