Fort Hays State Men's Basketball will take on Central Christian in the second-annual Youth Day at Gross Memorial Coliseum on Tuesday. Students, staff and administration from USD 489, TMP Junior High, Holy Family Elementary, Ellis and Victoria will be in attendance. FHSU and Central Christian met in the first edition of this event last year. Tipoff is set for 12 p.m. at Gross Memorial Coliseum.

Last year's event was very popular and provided one of the loudest home court advantages of the season. General admission tickets are available for $12.Fort Hays State is coming off its first win of the season last Tuesday by a score of 76-52 over South Dakota Mines. Shaun Riley and Kyle Grill each had career highs in points, Riley finishing with 24 and Grill with 21. FHSU moved to 4-0 all-time against South Dakota Mines with the win.

Fort Hays State owns a 22-0 record against Central Christian all-time. Aside from the first meeting taking place all the way back in the 1945-46 season, the last 21 meetings have occurred since the 2000-01 season. Mark Johnson owns a 20-0 record against CCC all-time. FHSU won last year's meeting 63-44.Central Christian is off to a solid start this season at 7-1 overall. CCC will play a conference game on Monday night in McPherson before heading up to Hays for the contest with FHSU. It will be Central Christian's third game in four days.

Riley leads the Tigers in scoring so far this year at 15.3 points per game, followed by Grill at 13.7 per game. They are the top two rebounders for the Tigers, Riley averaging 6.3 and Grill averaging 5.3 so far this season. Kaleb Hammeke leads the Tigers in assists, averaging 4.3 per game, while adding 12.0 points per game. Traejon Davis is also averaging double figures in scoring for FHSU at 10.7 points per game.
