
Wilma “Pat” Ann Goebel, 93, passed away February 16, 2022, at Hodgeman County Long Term Care Center, Jetmore.
She was born June 7, 1928, in Dodge City, the daughter of Lawrence William and Francis Philomena Peschka Irsik. A lifetime area resident, she was a homemaker and known as the best cook ever!
She was a member of the St. Lawrence Catholic Church and Altar Society in Jetmore, where she cleaned the rectory, did the laundry for the church and helped with funeral dinners. She enjoyed golfing and had a special love for all her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
On August 2, 1951, she married Nicholas L. Goebel in Dodge City. He passed away December 15, 2021.
Survivors include: three sons, Kim (Sue) Goebel, Overland Park, Bill Goebel and Lynn (Cindy) Goebel, both of Jetmore; four daughters, Susan (Scot) McKibbin and Barb (Russ) Hunt, both of Jetmore, Jane (Jerry) Clarke, Ness City, Mary Steckline, Overland Park; sister, Mary Lorraine Gibbons, Cory, NC; brother, Larry Irsik, Wichita; sixteen grandchildren and twenty-seven great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Norbert, Stephen and Clarence Irsik; three sisters, Helen Gerber, Julia Shriwise, Elsie Vogel and a daughter-in-law, Susan M. Goebel.
Vigil and Rosary service will be 7 p.m. Tuesday, February 22, 2022, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Jetmore. Memorial Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, February 23, 2022, at the church with Father John Forkuoh presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at Beckwith Funeral Home, Jetmore. Inurnment will be in the Fairmount Cemetery, Jetmore.
