šŸˆ TMP lands two on KFBCA All-State team

The TMP-Marian Monarchs had two players named to the 2A Kansas Football Coaches Association 2A All-State team on Monday.

Senior Kendall Walker was named to the all-state team on the defensive line and Peyton Schwartz was selected as a defensive back.

Walker ranked second on the Monarchs defense in tackles this past season with 50 total tackles. He led the team with 12 tackles for loss and collected three sacks and a blocked punt.

Schwartz finished with 23 tackles an interception, forced fumble and a touchdown.

Norton’s Roman Hauser was selected to the all-state team as a fullback/tight end. Hauser finished the year with 732 receiving yards on 48 receptions with five touchdowns.

Plainville’s Mason Hogan and Oakley’s Ivan Jirak were honored as 1A all-state offensive linemen. Smith Center’s Eli Franklin was selected to the 1A all-state defensive team as a linebacker.

The Kansas Football Coaches Association is made up of only 11-Man coaches.

The all-state teams are made up of just seniors and only nominations from dues paying members are taken into consideration for the all-state selections.
