Davy E. Rothe, 86, of Hutchinson, died December 2, 2022, in Hutchinson. He was born September 14, 1936, in Great Bend, Kansas, the son of Martin W. and Mabel A. Petersilie Rothe of Ness City, KS.
Davy graduated from Ness City High School in 1954. He proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1954-1957 as a radio operator, achieving the rank of Sergeant. He moved to Hutchinson in 1957 and attended Hutchinson Community College. Davy spent his career as a floor installer. He enjoyed camping, boating, hunting, carpentry, collecting toy tractors, playing cards, attending his grandchildren’s activities, games, concerts and recitals and spending time with his family.
On January, 30, 1976, Davy married Rebecca J. Koestel in Oklahoma. He is survived by: wife, Rebecca of Hutchinson; son, Clay (Karen) Rothe, Hutchinson; daughter, Laura (Andy) McReynolds, Hutchinson; daughter, Jayne Ediger, Partridge; daughter, Amy (James) Fletcher, Wichita; and son, David (Robyn) Rothe, Goddard; 13 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Cremation has taken place. Private services are pending.
