INIANAPOLIS - The Fort Hays State men's wrestling team placed 37th across two days of action at the 45th Midwest Classic this weekend.

A pair of Tigers picked up a win in their first action in the championship bracket, with A.B. Stokes (125) racking up four takedowns and four nearfall points in a 20-2 technical fall victory. Stokes finished the tournament with a 1-2 record.

Tereus Henry, the eighth-ranked wrestler at 197 pounds, later won his first bout of the weekend with a third-period pin to advance in the championship bracket. The former All-American then moved on to the quarterfinals with a 4-0 decision thanks to a third-period takedown. Henry advanced to Sunday's competition, where he lost his next two bouts to finish the weekend at 2-2.

Despite dropping his first bout of the weekend, Connor Padgett battled back to secure a pair of bonus-point victories in the 174-pound consolation bracket. The redshirt-freshman picked up a pin in less than one minute in the first consolation round before rattling off a 14-2 major decision in the next round.The
