Wanda Jean Pinkston

Wanda Jean Pinkston, 83, died on Saturday, October 17, 2020, in Sedgwick. She was born on October 17, 1937, at Morrilton, Arkansas, the daughter of John Francis & Jewel Dean (Newberry) Foshee. She married Marvin Gene Pinkston of September 19, 1953, at San Francisco, California. He died on March 5, 2020.

Wanda lived in San Francisco until her marriage and then began a life on the farm in Lane County. After retiring, she and her husband moved into Dighton and later to Wichita. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Dighton and American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed being involved with her bridge club, supper club, playing bingo and being on the Dighton Bowl Traveling Team.

She is survived by 2 Daughters- Sherrie (Larren) Dennis of Eureka and Terri (Steve) Kingsley of Sedgwick , Son- Gary (LaRae) Pinkston of Mitchellville, Iowa, 2 Half Brother- Paul (Caroline) Foshee and Kenneth (Linda) Foshee both of Atkins, Arkansas, 8 Grandchildren and 14 Great-Grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, Sister- Francis James and Half Brother- Sammie Foshee.

Funeral Service will be at 11:00 AM Saturday at the United Methodist Church in Dighton with Rev Berniece Ludlum officiating. Burial will be in Dighton Memorial Cemetery. Friends may call from Noon to 8:00 PM Friday at Boomhower Funeral Home in Dighton. Memorial are suggested to United Methodist Church or Lane County Hospital in care of Boomhower Funeral Home.
