Overnight rain that has continued into this morning has caused road flooding on Highway U.S. 40 in Ellis County at the intersections of 140th and 150th Avenues, according to the Ellis County Sheriff's Department.

As of 8 a.m., the Eagle Media Center in Hays, 2300 Hall Street, has received 1.48 inches since 6 a.m. yesterday.
