HAYS – The TMP girls' golf team claimed the top spot in their own tournament Monday at Smokey Hill Country Club, edging Concordia by one shot.
Jenna Brull paced four Monarchs who finished inside the top 15 with a third-place finish, firing a 92.
Brynn Schoepf finished 7th with a 103. Emma Wasinger fired a 111 and tied for 12th. Ava Schumacher finished tied for 15th with a 117 and Blakely Seib tied for 25th with a 123.
Rawlins County’s Amelia Bowels and Concordia’s Mya Niehues finished tied for 1st with a 79.
The Monarchs finished with 423 as a team. Concordia was second with 424, and Larned was third with 432.
TMP travels to the Cheney 3-1A regional on Tuesday.
