KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Fort Hays State men's soccer team held steady at No. 13 in this week's United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division II national poll, released Tuesday by the coaches organization.
Fort Hays State is the lone Great American Conference team listed in this week's Top 25, with Southern Nazarene and Rogers State both listed among those receiving votes. FHSU defeated the then-21st-ranked Crimson Storm on the road last week, winning 3-0. The Tigers are 3-0 against ranked opponents this season, extending their winning streak against teams in the top 25 to eight.
The Tigers are now 7-2-2 overall and 5-0 in conference play, outscoring league opponents 10-1 to date. Including postseason play, Fort Hays State has now won 12 in a row against conference opponents dating back to last October, tied for the longest active streak in Division II. The Tigers' regular season conference unbeaten streak is now 27 in a row, dating back more than two years. FHSU is 24-0-3 in conference during that run. Including the GAC tournament, the Tigers have played 31 consecutive matches against league opponents without a loss (27-0-4), the seventh-longest stretch in Division II men's soccer history.
FHSU has been listed inside the top 25 in all six releases this season and in 21 consecutive polls dating back to October 2024, extending the longest streak in program history.
With just seven conference contests remaining on the schedule the Tigers will be back home Thursday (Oct. 8, 7 p.m.) to host Newman before going on the road for three consecutive matches.
