The Hays Area Board of Zoning Appeals conduct a public hearing at 4 p.m. Monday, May 18 in Hays City Hall, 1507 Main.
The hearing is for a height variance request by Nathan and Sara Meder for a detached garage at 3201 Tam O’Shanter Dr.
The applicant is requesting a five foot height variance for a proposed detached garage, increasing the maximum permitted height from 18 feet to 23 feet.
City staff has found that the request is supported by the existing development pattern and construction constraints.
