Daniel Lee “Danny” Demoret, 70, died June 26, 2022, at Hospice House. He was born June 6, 1952, in Hutchinson, to William R. and Lola F. (Uncapher) Demoret.
Danny attended Hutchinson schools. He served in the United States Navy from 1969-1970 and the Kansas Army National Guard until 1977. Danny worked as a roofer and then plumber at Liberty Mobile Homes for 25 years until they closed. He then worked as a maintenance man for Gisan Shaban. Danny loved spending time with his family and singing and dancing with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was of the Christian faith.
On March 25, 1972, Danny married Vickie Lynn Blanton, in Hutchinson. She died December 19, 2005.
He is survived by: his daughters, Melinda Demoret of Hutchinson, Stephanie Brewer and her husband Brandon of Tulsa, OK; grandchildren, Danielle Demoret, James Goldsberry, Harmony Demoret, William Demoret, Christian Pruitt, Andrew Pruitt, Levi Blanton, Amreza Blanton, Lakeynn Brewer, Arianna Brewer; 8 great-grandchildren; brother, Robert Demoret and wife Vickie of Hutchinson; sister, Sue Gore of Hutchinson; son-in-law, David Goldsberry of Luray; and many extended family members.
Danny was preceded in death by: his parents; grandsons, Brice Zizumbo, Parker Goldsberry; brothers, David Demoret, Steve Demoret; and a sister, Carolyn Daugherty.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, July 7, 2022, at Elliott Chapel. Burial will follow in Eastside Cemetery with military honors conducted by the Kansas Army National Guard. Following the burial, there will be a “Celebration of Life” reception at Grandview Park and attendees are invited to bring a covered to dish to share.
Friends may sign his memorial book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday thru Wednesday, with the family present to receive friend from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Elliott Mortuary.
