Glenn James Dinkel

Glenn James Dinkel, age 56, of Hays, Kansas died June 16, 2020, at his home in Hays.  He was born March 2, 1964, in Hays, Kansas, to Donald J. and Rose Mary (Braun) Dinkel.

He married Jamie Lynn (Miller) on June 3, 2016 in Hays, Kansas.

He worked in the oil fields for over 30 years and was Production Foreman for Palomino Petroleum Inc. for a number of years.  He also worked at Western Well Service, Clipper Energy, Express Well Service, X-Pert Service Tools. He was a member of the Basilica of St. Fidelis, Victoria Knights of Columbus and the NRA.  He grew up in Victoria and was a 1982 graduate of Victoria High School.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing.  

Survivors include his wife, Jamie Dinkel, of the home; two daughters, Erin Pfeifer, and Leah Dinkel, both of Gorham, KS; one step-son, Dalton Stout and his fiancé, Rylie Rowland, Hays, KS; three grandchildren, Gracie McDonald, Brantley Pfeifer and Gavin Pfeifer; his mother, Rosie Dinkel, Victoria, KS; four brothers, Craig Dinkel and wife, Anne, Victoria, KS; Carl Dinkel and wife, Miranda, Fredonia, KS; Dennis Dinkel and wife, Jody, Hays, KS; Darin Dinkel and wife, Tori, Victoria, KS; one sister, Karen Nowak and husband, John, Victoria, KS; one sister-in-law, Jane Dinkel, North Richland Hills, TX; mother-in-law, Iris Miller, Victoria, KS; one brother-in-law, Jeff Miller and wife, Nancy, Spring Hill, KS; and several nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his father, brother, Galen Dinkel and father-in-law, Marvin L. Miller.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 9:00 A.M. Saturday, June 20, 2020, at The Basilica of St. Fidelis, Victoria, Kansas.  Burial in  St. Fidelis Cemetery, Victoria, Kansas. 

Visitation will be from 6:00 to 9:00 P.M. Friday, and from 8:00 to 9:00 A.M, Saturday, all at The Basilica of St. Fidelis, Victoria, Kansas.

The family suggests memorials to Hospice of Hays Medical Center or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Services are entrusted to Cline’s-Keithley Mortuary of Hays, 1919 E.22nd Street, Hays, Kansas 67601.
