Our mother was always one to "Jump In" getting things done whether cooking or sewing, then sharing with others.
Mother, living in Kansas her entire life, always had some story or two to tell about someone who had blessed her path of life.
Mother loved going on road trips all over this country. She could find
the beauty simply looking out over the land whether it be crops and
animals in the field, the mountains, the autumn leaves or the clouds in
the skies.
Her favorite hobby was creating beauty with her many sewing projects.
She had sewn more wedding/bridesmaid dresses and formals than anyone
else we know.
Our mother would have her grandchildren stay with her in the summertime,
whether it be one to two weeks or two months. These summertime stays
created childhood memories that will be with her grandchildren forever.
Betty and the family were thrilled that so many of you were able to
celebrate mother's life with her at her "90th" birthday party or via
birthday card this last July. As that celebration was so recent and with
all the traveling issues going on, cremation was chosen. There will be
no funeral service. Thank you to anyone and everyone that touched our
mother’s life.
Mother is in the loving arms of Jesus now. We would like to think she is busy sewing something pretty for her new home.
