đź‘źGottschalk wins 100 meter hurdles; Ellis girls 2nd in 2A, TMP 7th

TMP’s Shalee Gottschalk earned three individual medals and one as a member of a relay team helping the TMP girls track team finished seventh at the 2A state track and field meet at Cessna Stadium in Wichita.

The Ellis girls brought home nine individual medals and one relay team medal as they earned a second place finished in 2A.

The Plainville boys had six medal winners and finished 10th.

TMP
Gottschalk claimed the individual title in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 15.28 seconds. She also earned a third place medal in the 300 meter hurdles (46.35) and she was second in the 2A girls triple jump (35-08.25).

Shyanne Yost finished eighth in the 2A girls high jump (4-10.00) and Anna Cappuccio was eighth in the girls pole vault (8-6.00).

Nevaeh Weigel earned a fifth place finish in the long jump (15-09.50).

The TMP 4x100 meter relay team also earned a third place finish with a time of 51.12 seconds.

TMP finished seventh as a team.

Ellis
The Ellis girls finished runners-up with 54 team points.

Ellis earned nine individual medals and one relay team brought home a medal.

Averb Boydston earned three individual medals. She finished second in both the 1600 (5:15.53) and 3200 (11:33.67) meters and eighth in the 800 meters (2:24.70)

Evelyn Merriman brought home two individual medals. She finished fourth in the 100 meter dash (12.76) and eighth in the 200 meters (26.95).

Natalee North also earned two individual medals. She was second in the discus (129-01) and fifth in the shot put (38-08.25).

In the girls high jump Isabellla Eck was second (5-02.00) and Kylee Pfeifer finished sixth in the 300 meter hurdles (48.22).

The girls 4x100 relay team finished second (51.045) and was made up of Kylee Pfeifer, Addison Kohl, Sienna Schmidt and Evelyn Merriman.

Ellis’ Mason Younger won the boys pole vault with a height of 14-07.00 and Aron Bencze placed eighth in the discus.

Plainville
The Plainville boys finished 10th with six individual medals.

Braylon Bittle brought home three medals of his own. He won the boys discus in 2A with a throw of 164-08. He was fourth in the shot put (49-02.00) and seventh in the javelin (167-04).

Mason Hogan finished fourth in the discus (155-07) and Tucker Rudman was sixth (143-09).

A.J. Brown also finished fifth in the 110 meter hurdles (16.06)

For the Plainville girls, Caydence Carter finished fifth in the girls discus (122-06).
