Lucille Margaret Jennings, age 96, of Hays, (formerly of Oakley) passed away at her home on January 18, 2022.
Lucille was born June 4, 1925, to Henry and Cora (Daugherty) Tholen in Oakley, KS. She married Leroy Jennings in 1946 in Oakley.
She is survived by five daughters: Jo Ann Jennings, (John Bird) Hays, Mary Gipson, Wichita, Monica Ptacek (Doug), Hutchinson, Elizabeth McWhirt (Terry), Atlanta, GA; Jennifer Fitzgerald (Chris), Olathe, and three sons: Daniel (Amy), Colby, Mark (Debb), Wichita, and Greg (Tammy), Garden Plain; 20 grandchildren, and 24 great-grandchildren; and her sister, Loretta Jamison of Oklahoma City, OK.
Preceding her in death were husband, Leroy, sons: Jeffrey, David and Joseph Jennings; grandsons: Jeff Jennings and Myles Jennings; granddaughters: Megan Jennings and Gina Jennings; daughters-in-law: Nancy Jennings and Donna Jennings; and sons-in-law, Richard Coffelt and Wayne Gipson; and great-granddaughter, Laramie Jennings; her brother, Paul Tholen, and sister, Bernice Jackson.
Visitation: 5 - 8:00 p.m. on Friday, January 21, 2022, at Kennedy-Koster Funeral Home. No vigil or wake service will be held. Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 22, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Oakley with Fr. Luke Thielen officiating. A rosary will be said at 10:00 a.m. before Mass. Interment will follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery.
