
Vivian Huelskamp, 83, died Thursday, March 3,2022, at her home. She was
born on February 4, 1939, in La Crosse, Kansas, the daughter of Gerald
& Marjie (Renner) Crook. She married Sy Huelskamp on August 8,
1959.
Vivian was raised in Garden City and graduated from Garden City High
School. She lived in the Pierceville area for 44 years. She was a farm
homemaker and an avid quilter.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother-Jay Crook, sister-Mary
Lou Jackson, Son-in-Law-Larry Bates Sr., and grandson-Damien Huelskamp.
She is survived by her husband-Sy Huelskamp of Minneola, 3
daughters-Stephanie (Keith) Reyes of Elm Grove, LA; Vicky Bates of
Valley Center; and Melanie (Alex) Stapleton of Minneola, Son-Kurt (Rose)
Huelskamp; brother-Ron Crook of Garden City; sister-Rhonda (Randy)
Magnison of Holton, Sister-in-law-Sondra Crook of Prairie Village,
Brother-in-law-Stanley Jackson of Satanta. 9 Grandchildren Jared
(Loretta) Huelskamp, Teresa (Ciro) Escarcega, Mary (Lamontae) Heady,
Denise (Michael) Cocking, Dominique Budd, Antionne Budd, Tyler (Angela)
Stapleton, Joshua (Jessie) Stapleton, and Makana Medeiros, 18
great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Graveside Service will be at 10:30 am on Saturday, March 12, 2022, at
Valley View Cemetery in Garden City. Calling hours with family present
will be from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Friday, March 11, 2022, at Garnand
Funeral Home in Garden City.
Memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in care of Garnand Funeral Home.
