GRAHAM COUNTY —One person was injured in an accident just after 8a.m. Thursday in Graham County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2007 Chevy Silverado driven by Tanner Michael Herskowitz, 16, Lenora, was southbound on U.S. 283 ten miles north of U.S. 24.
The driver lost control of the pickup while on an icy bridge. The vehicle entered the east ditch and the driver overcorrected. The pickup then turned onto its side, slid across the highway into the west ditch, rolled and came to rest on its top facing north.
EMS transported Herskowitz to the hospital in Hill City. He was properly restrained, according to the KHP.
