๐Ÿ€ Osborne girls fall in opening round of state

The Osborne girls made their 11th state tournament appearance with a trip to Dodge City on Friday. The Bulldogs opened with the Pretty Prairie Bulldogs, each entering with a 22-1 record.
Pretty Prairie opened the game on a 13-2 run and led the entire first half. They held two eleven point leads in the first quarter and took a 16-8 lead into the second quarter.

Osborne but the deficit down to four points at 16-12 and had the ball but tallied a turnover on the possession. Pretty Prairie responded with a 12-4 run to build a twelve point advantage at 28-16. They still held a double digit lead at half time 31-21.

Highlights

Osborne hit a three pointer to open up the second half pull within seven points, but would never be closer the rest of the game. Pretty Prairie hit seven of ten shots in the third quarter to extend their lead to twenty after three quarter and would move to the semi-finals with a 52-33 victory.

Osborne was led by Gracie Riner and Ava Stull who each scored ten points. Pretty Prairie put three in double figures, led by Jorah Harbaugh who scored a game high 15.
