ARLINGTON, Texas - Former Hays High Indian, Dylan Dreiling, has been named the Texas Rangers Minor League Player of the Month.

Dreiling plays for the club's Double-A Frisco affiliate. During the month of August, Dreiling safely hit in all 20 games he played in. It was part of a longer 25 game hitting streak which ran from July 31 through September 5. It ranks as the longest stretch for any Double-A hitter this year.

Dreiling hit .429 (36-84) in the month of August with 4 home runs, 8 doubles and 18 RBI. 

In 452 at-bats during the season, Dreiling is now hitting .314 with 142 hits, 22 home runs, 26 doubles and 2 triples. He has driven in 83 runs and scored 85.

Dreiling and the Frisco RoughRiders are in Wichita tonight to start a six game series.
