Kpreps has released the latest high school football rankings heading into week eight games.

Hays High dropped two spots following their home loss to Great Bend and are now ranked fifth in Class 5A. The Panthers remained second.

Smith Center held on to the No. 5 spot in Class 1A.

Trego stayed second in 8-Man Division 1 but Victoria dropped a spot to No. 3 in 8-Man Division 2 where Hanover is the new No. 1 following their win over Axtell who drops to second. The Knights host Hodgeman County Friday who is ranked fourth.

TMP-Marian and Plainville continue to be in the others considered category in Class 1A. The Cardinals host the Monarchs Friday. Hill City is in the same category in 8-Man I.
