THOMAS COUNTY—Three people were injured in an accident just after 3:30p.m. Friday in Thomas County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2003 Dodge Grand Caravan driven by Daniel Kerksiek, 35, Colby, was eastbound on Interstate 70 just east of County Road 20.
The driver lost control of the van. It slid through the median sideways into the westbound lanes. A westbound 2020 Honda Ridgeline driven by Wayne Coleman, 78, Jefferson City, Missouri, struck the Dodge on the passenger side.
EMS transported Kerksiek, Coleman and a passenger in the Honda Mary Carolyn Coleman, 80, Jefferson City to Citizen's Medical Center. All three were properly restrained, according to the KHP.
