Hays received .3 inches of rain as of 9 a.m. today. Hays has received 2.90 inches in the month of August. The low for Wednesday was 60.
On average, Hays receives 3.01 inches of rain in August and 17.70 inches of moisture by the end of August. Hays has received 16.41 inches of precipitation year to date.
The forecast for today is a slight chance of showers with patchy fog, with a high of 72 and a low of 60. Winds are expected to be around 8 mph.
More patchy fog is expected Friday, with a high of 77, and a chance of storms and showers going into the weekend.
