Catherine Renee Deterding, age 39, of Rexford passed away Saturday, March 12, 2022, at Citizen Medical Center in Colby.
Cathy was born October 6, 1982, to Vernon and Rhonda (Eby) Lovins in Great Bend, Kansas. She grew up and went to school in Goodland, graduating from Goodland High School in 2002. She attended the Northwest Kansas Technical College Cosmetology and Computer Graphics programs. She worked as a CNA at Wheatridge Acres.
Cathy enjoyed outdoor activities and spending time with her family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; grandfather, George Eby; and uncle, Stan Eby.
Cathy is survived by her significant other Adam Ball of Rexford, KS; sons, Logan Mathew and Jaxson Nathaniel Deterding of Goodland, KS; daughter, Aaliyah Jean-Lynn Frost; sisters, Veronica (David) Wilson of Hill City, KS, Sarah (Josh) Lovins of Rexford, KS, Kayla (Dustin) Valenti of Goodland, KS and Jillian (Doug) Eddleman of Goodland, KS; brother, Vernon (Evann) Lovins of Goodland, KS; grandmother, Verna Eby of Goodland, KS; and many more family and friends.
Celebration of Life will be Saturday, April 9, 2022, at Henry Hall in Brewster at 2 p.m. CT.
