The Ellis County Health Department on Wednesday announced five new positive cases of COVID-19 have been identified in the county.
The cases have been identified since Monday. The individuals are symptomatic and in isolation, the department said. Two previous cases have recovered since Monday's news release. Contacts will be notified.
There have now been a total of 35 positive cases identified in Ellis County since reporting began, with 10 categorized as active.
