Brenda Lee Carpenter, 82, passed away January 13, 2022, at the Healthcare Resort of Kansas City, Kansas City, Kansas.
She was born February 27, 1939, in Larned; the daughter of George and Rotha Lee Pryor. Brenda was a longtime area resident. She grew up in Ellinwood, graduated from Ellinwood High School, lived in Larned and moved to Lansing, KS in 1997. She was the office manager for Pawnee Beef Builders, in Larned and later worked as a library aide and a secretary for the Leavenworth School District.
She was a member of Kappa Psi sorority in Larned, Kansas.
She was an avid Kansas City Chiefs and Royals fan, loved going to Las Vegas with her sisters, and enjoyed spending time with her family.
Survivors include; former spouse and father of her children, Thaine Carpenter; three sons, Kale (Julie) Carpenter, Topeka; Troy Carpenter, Leavenworth and Kyler Carpenter, Topeka; a daughter, Teri (Gary) Beashore, Kansas City, KS; a sister, Dede Collier, California; four grandchildren, Amber Carpenter, Taylor Beashore, Blake Beashore, and Trevor Carpenter; and two great grandchildren, Tyonna Jones and A’laysha Kemp.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Kristi Carpenter, her parents; her brother, Dub Pryor and her sister Vickie Befort.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 31, 2022 at Beckwith Mortuary Chapel with Pastor Jarred Smith presiding. Family kindly requests those in attendance to please wear a mask. Service will be viewable via Facebook Live at www.facebook.com/beckwithmortuary. Inurnment will be in the Larned Cemetery, Larned, Kansas.
