An Albuquerque man was arrested after allegedly stealing a vehicle and driving it to Hays.
Hays Deputy Police Chief Tim Greenwood said 19-year-old Benjamin Lawrence Belson allegedly stole a 2017 blue Volkswagen Jetta from Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Greenwood said at 6:52 p.m. July 7, after the owner tracked the vehicle to Walmart, officers found the alleged stolen car. Belson was arrested inside the store on requested charges of possession of stolen property and marijuana.
Greenwood said Albuquerque authorities are investigating the alleged theft.
