Polls are open today for the August primary election in Kansas.&nbsp;

In Ellis County, the regular polling locations are open until 7 p.m.

Election workers at the Hays Recreation Center polling location said they were expecting a slow day with low turnout.

All advance ballots by mail must be postmarked by election day and received by Friday, August 9

Be sure to check Hays Post for the local results, including a ballot question for residents of Victoria, Ellis, and rural Ellis County about whether to establish a <a href="https://hayspost.com/posts/1d4cd415-10df-4079-8cb1-422ab78bf4cb">county library</a>.

All Kansas state senate and house seats are up for election.&nbsp;
