Darrell Keith Houston, 82, passed away Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at his home in Dorrance, KS.
He was born on September 30, 1937 in Hays, KS to Ernest W. and Edith (Cerrow) Houston. Darrell graduated from Plainville High School with the class of 1956. He was united in marriage to Virginia Glaze on September 3, 1960 in Plainville, KS. Darrell worked for John O. Farmer, Inc. in Russell as an oilfield pumper until his retirement in 1994.
Darrell was a member of the Dorrance First Lutheran Church. He enjoyed fishing and camping. He could usually be found in his shop tinkering with projects, whether it be woodworking or welding.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Virginia of the home; sons, Donald (Lavina) Houston of Dorrance and Dale Houston of Ellsworth; daughters, Bev Wooley of Dorrance and Deanna (Mike) Sunseri of Raymore, MO; grandchildren, Athan Schindler, Jill Washmon, Lauren Erdman, Emily Sunseri, and Jennifer Wooley; and eight grandchildren.
Darrell is preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Edith; and brother, William Houston.
