Longtime Goodland, KS resident Mark Shane Peden, 60, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Goodland on May 24, 2021.

Mark was born on August 21, 1960, in Gothenburg, NE to Gordon and Vicki (Hoyt) Peden.&nbsp; He was one of three children.&nbsp; He attended school in Cozad, NE and graduated from Cozad High School in 1978. After graduating high school, he started farming, something that he truly loved, and continued to do so up until his death.

Some of his favorite hobbies were racing racecars, shooting guns, driving around and being a mechanic.

He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.

Survivors include his three children; John (Lexi Sims) Peden of Goodland, KS Taylor (John) Meitl of Jennings, KS and Jamie Peden of Tremonton, UT.&nbsp; He is also survived by his father Gordon Peden of Cozad, NE, his mother Vicki Peden of Kearney, NE, one brother Cody (Debra) Peden of Cozad, NE, a sister Teri (Tim) Schmeeckle of Gothenburg, NE, and four grandchildren.
