A record high temperature was set in Hays Monday.
The mercury soared to 80 degrees yesterday.
According to official records at the K-State Agricultural Research Center, the previous high temperature on November 15 in Hays was 78 degrees, set in 1952.
One year ago the daytime high was a more seasonable 64 degrees.
A dramatic drop in temperature is forecast beginning Wednesday with highs in the upper 40s and low 50s.
