HAYS – The TMP-Marian Monarchs volleyball team extended its winning streak to five straight matches Tuesday with a win over Plainville.
TMP opened the season with five straight losses, all against larger schools, but has bounced back in a big way.
The Monarchs have wins over Norton, Smith Center, Abilene, Rock Creek and now Plainville to bring their record back to .500 at 5-5.
Their matchup with Smoky Valley in Abilene was postponed because of bats.
Tuesday, TMP beat Plainville in straight sets, 25-17, 25-16 and 25-16.
The Monarchs will travel to WaKeeney to take part in the Trego Tournament on Saturday.
