ELLINWOOD – The TMP-Marian softball moved to 6-0 on the season with a doubleheader sweep of Ellinwood Tuesday by scores of 10-0 and 12-1.
TMP-Marian returns to action Tuesday with a doubleheader in Colby.
Game 1: TMP-Marian 10, Ellinwood 0

The Monarchs got on the board with two runs in the top of the third inning
after Brynn Schoepf hit a sacrifice fly and Brynn Rebel doubled down the left
field line, each scoring one run.
TMP added two more runs in the fifth then blew the game open with six runs in the sixth. Raegan Allen had an RBI double, Adi Gottschalk, Addison Watson and Schoepf all had run-scoring singles. Rebel hit a solo home run to center field.
Rebel (3-0) earned the win. The righty allowed one hit over six innings, striking out nine and walking two.
Schoepf went 3-for-3 at the plate and led the team with three RBIs. Rebel and Gottschalk each collected multiple hits.
Game 2: TMP-Marian 12, Ellinwood 1
The Monarchs opened the scoring in the first on a Brynn Rebel double. The
Eagles answered with a run in the bottom of the inning, the first allowed this season
by the Monarchs.
TMP took the lead for good with three runs in the third. Rebel singled down the left field line, Paige Koenigsman doubled to center field and Bria Windholz singled to center field, each driving in a run.
The Monarchs added six runs on five hits in the top of the fifth. Koenigsman singled home a run then Allen hit a grand slam to center field. Rebel added a sacrifice fly.
Windholz (3-0) earned the win for TMP-Marian, allowing one run on five hits with seven strikeouts and one walk over six innings.
