Man hospitalized after Kan. teen driver missed stop sign

THOMAS COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident just before 6:30p.m. Friday in Thomas County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2009 Chevy Impala driven by Jacob Edmondson, 18, Colby, was westbound at 1672 S Range Avenue.

The driver failed to yield to a stop sign at Williams Avenue. The Chevy crossed the intersection into southbound traffic and collided with a 2014 Toyota Camry driven by Soccorro Bosquez Terrazas, 50, Chihuahua, Mexico.

EMS transported Terrazas to Citizen's Medical Center. Edmondson was not injured. Both drivers were properly restrained, according to the KHP.
