TREGO COUNTY —One person was injured in an accident just before 4:30p.m. Friday in Trego County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2007 Harley Davidson motorcycle driven by Russell L. McBryde, 56, WaKeeney, was northbound on U.S. 283 two miles north of Interstate 70. The driver slammed on the brakes, laid motorcycle on the right side and slid for a short distance with the bike on top of his right leg.
EMS transported McBryde to Trego County-Lemke Memorial Hospital. He was not wearing a helmet, according to the KHP.
