A multiple-vehicle crash at about 4:45 p.m. Tuesday at Hall and 24th streets sent one person to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to Hays police.
Four vehicles were stopped at a long line of traffic backed up at the 27th and Hall streets intersection. The first vehicle did not stop and caused a chain reaction. The first vehicle hit the second vehicle, and the second vehicle hit the third vehicle, and the third vehicle hit the fourth vehicle.
The drivers of the first, third and fourth vehicles did not receive serious injuries. The driver of the second vehicle was taken to the hospital via ambulance.
The driver of the first striking vehicle was cited, according to police.
The first and second vehicles had to be towed from the scene.
Hall Street was closed for a short time while the accident was being cleared.
Hays Police did not release the names of the drivers involved in the accident.
