The bridge carrying 150th Avenue over I-70 in Trego County was struck by an above-height load the evening of Tuesday, July 9.
Crews from the Kansas Department of Transportation were mobilized after the incident to direct traffic and clean up debris that had fallen onto the eastbound lanes of I-70.
The bridge has been hit multiple times and was closed to traffic in March 2024 because of safety concerns about structural deficiencies. For more information, contact KDOT Area Engineer Kevin Zimmer at 785-261-6132 or [email protected].
