
Dolores Faye Depperschmidt, 87, was born to Frank and Doretta (Butler)
Soderlund at Kanona, Kansas, on October 10, 1934. She passed away with
her family by her side on November 20th, 2021 in Oberlin, Kansas.
Dolores graduated from Decatur County High School in 1954 and later
that year she was married to Al J. Depperschmidt. Throughout their
marriage they made their home in Dresden, Kansas.
Over the course of her career she worked in the food system at the
schools of Leoville and Clayton and as a co-owner of the Dresden Thrift
Shop. She was a part of the Daughters of Isabella group and the Altar
Society. In her free time Dolores made quilt blocks for the Disabled
American Veterans. She enjoyed embroider, reading, scrapbooking and
loved watching rodeos.
She is survived by her sons Mark and David, daughter-in-law Carla,
grandchildren Heather, Leia and Jason, great grandchildren Zachary,
Olivia, Kiera, Clayton and Quinn and other family and friends. She is
preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sons and four brothers.
