JOPLIN, Mo. - Fort Hays State’s Morgan Brasser and Shauna Lee both shot an 8-over-par, 80 Monday and are tied for 13th place after day one of the MIAA Women’s Golf Championships at Eagle Creek Golf Club.
Brasser, who was named named the MIAA Golfer of the Year on Sunday, struggled with eight bogeys and a quadruple bogey. She had two birdies and an eagle to go along with her six pars.
Brasser and Lee both sit seven shots back of Northwest Missouri State’s Paige Hoffman and Central Missouri’s Hayley Jones who shared the first round lead at 1-over-par.
Round two is scheduled for Tuesday.
