Girl Scouts from northwest Kansas were honored on Nov. 1 at Starwood Girl Scout camp for service awards.
Troop 11262 from Hays was honored with a Bronze Award for its care-home planters project.
Troop 10149 from Goodland was honored with a Bronze Award for their "Using All Their Resources Wisely" project.
The Bronze Award is the third-highest in Girl Scouting and is awarded to Junior Scouts in the fourth or fifth grade.
The Service Unit 74 Junior Three-Part Campout Committee was awarded the President's Award. Those members included Diana Staab, Sean Davis, Vicky Chessmore, Megan Howe, Loren Ashlock, Jennifer Griffin and Taylor Lindeman.
Jessica Albers, troop leader and service unit manager 74 manager, was awarded the Treasured Time Award for her more than 10 years of service to Girl Scouting.
Cristina Janney, troop leader, was awarded the honor pin.
Autum Omwenga, troop leader, and Amber Arnold, support volunteer, were awarded the Volunteer of Excellence Award.
